Inspired by the alpine traditions of sauna, the word Saunawelt evokes images of majestic mountains, pristine forests, and the resilience of the Edelweiss flower.
The German word "Welt" translates to "world," symbolizing our aspiration to create a global community around the sauna experience. Just as tree rings mark the passage of time and the growth of a tree, Saunawelt represents a journey of wellness and connection, where each visit brings us closer to a deeper connection to ourselves and the world around us.
HISTORY
Saunawelt was born on the simple idea that the ancient traditions of sauna have a place in our modern world.
Founded in 2024, our journey was inspired by travels to sauna and bathhouses in Germany, Austria, and Iceland, igniting a passion to share the wellness, community, and relaxation found in traditional Finnish sauna—right here at home.

Clean lines and an intuitive flow promote comfort and ease, creating a space that is easily accessible and inviting. This design fosters a sense of calm and allows for body and mind to the regeneration of body and mind.
NATURE
The use of organic textures, materials, and shapes from Europe and the surrounding landscape outside our windows honor the tradition of sauna culture in the importance of finding harmony with the natural world, inviting us to reconnect with our bodies and the earth.
SENSES
From the feel of the wood to the sound of water on the hot stones, the sight of nature through our windows, the taste of herbal teas, and the aroma of essential oils, every sense is awakened to deepen the mind-body connection.
AUTHENTICITY
For a truly authentic European sauna house experience, our German-designed and manufactured saunas are complemented by deeply-rooted Finnish rituals, carefully curated by Helsinki-based author and sauna consultant Terhen.
